BACON WRAPPED TERIYAKI HEAT DOGS WITH PINEAPPLE SALSA

I loved Hawaiian Bread as a child. I used to snack on sweet rolls all by myself until my mom took away the bag. This snacking habit has continued to this day.

The other day, I found some of their hamburger buns in a bag, and I snacked a few before heading to work. When I got home, Jason had made burgers, but we didn’t have any buns, so we used English muffins.

Oops.

Recently, I discovered that King Hawaiian also makes hot dog buns. In honor of the Superbowl, which is only two weeks away, I could not resist bringing you a Hawaiian hot dog for the perfect Superbowl food. These hot dogs have a homemade teriyaki sauce and pineapple salsa on top of a bacon-wrapped applewood smoked dog.

The buns were sweet, the pineapple was refreshing, and the jalapenos added a little spice. One of these hotdogs will not suffice. I tried to eat 3, but I think I only ate 2.

Even after the football season ends, I will make this dish again and again.

If I can ever stop eating them!
